Gucci Changemakers North America is a social impact initiative established in March 2019 aimed at increasing inclusion and diversity within the fashion industry and across communities and cities.
The Changemakers program includes a multi-year US$ 5 million Impact Fund for non-profit organizations and a US$ 1.5 million scholarship program in North America that will fuel Gucci’s commitment to creating lasting social impact in our communities and within the fashion industry.
The Gucci North America Changemakers Scholarship program provides funds to undergraduate students with unmet financial needs passionate about careers in the fashion and creative industries. The program primarily focuses on students from diverse backgrounds who live or study in one of the 12 Gucci North America Changemakers cities and/or plan to attend or currently attend a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
The Gucci North America Changemakers Impact Fund awards grant funding to community-based 501(c)(3) organizations across the select Changemaker cities for up to $1 million in grants annually. Funding will be provided to applicants focused on key social impact areas including social justice and equity; arts and culture; health equity and wellness; and education.
Gucci Changemakers North America focus cities include Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Toronto, and Washington DC.
More than 50 students and 40 organizations have been supported through over $3 million invested in grant funding and scholarships initiatives to date.
