Gucci Stands in Solidarity with AAPI Communities

Gucci is supporting organizations that advance the civil rights and representation of AAPI communities, reinforcing its commitment to racial justice

In the wake of the rise in hate crimes targeting Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities in the United States, Gucci is standing in solidarity with AAPI communities and is reinforcing its commitment to racial justice.

As part of Gucci’s ongoing work to combat racism, hatred and violence, through the Gucci North America Changemakers Impact Fund, Gucci is donating to two leading nonprofit organizations working to advance the representation and rights of AAPI communities:

  • Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund, which since its founding in 1974 has been protecting and promoting civil rights of Asian Americans, including advancing immigration rights, economic justice, housing and environmental justice, and voting rights;
  • Gold House, a nonprofit collective of Asian founders, creative voices, and leaders aiming to forge meaningful bonds across professional, familial, and community life and leverage those relationships to elevate the Asian diaspora’s authentic societal representation and economic success.

In addition to these contributions, the House continues to engage the Gucci Community in generating positive change. Interlocking, Gucci America’s Employee Resource Group focused on equity and justice, will also be leading an internal conversation in solidarity with AAPI colleagues. These recent initiatives build on Gucci and Kering’s call to action from February 26 to #StopAsianHate.
